Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runyon throws a sloppy head kick and Allen moves out of range easily.
Runyon fails with the takedown

and Allen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Runyon!
Runyon struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Runyon throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Runyon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Allen pinned against the cage. Allen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Allen is looking to counter punch.

Runyon drives through and clinches with Allen against the cage.

Runyon pulls Allen into guard.
Runyon has a closed guard, preventing Allen from standing up.
Allen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Allen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Runyon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Allen has managed to get both his arms back between Runyon's legs - danger averted.

Allen stands up from Runyon's guard - Allen perhaps looking for a knockout.
Runyon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Allen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Runyon somewhat.

Runyon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Allen defends well and Runyon ends up having to push Allen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Horrible takedown attempt by Runyon or perhaps it was just good defense by Allen, which made it look bad.

Runyon keeps control of Allen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Runyon tries for a takedown but Allen manages to get underhooks.
Runyon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Allen has him pressed against the cage.
Runyon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Allen smiles and moves away.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Runyon is working for takedown but Allen is calmly controlling the position for now.

Allen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Runyon fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Royce Allen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Runyon looks for a takedown but Allen sprawls well.
Runyon dives in for a single leg takedown but Allen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

As Runyon tries to get set, Allen tries to push him back and clinch up but Runyon manages to avoid the attempt.

Runyon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Allen sprawls well. Allen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Runyon gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Royce Allen will probably get the nod.
That's time! Allen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Runyon misses with a low kick.
Runyon motions for Allen to come forward. Runyon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Allen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Runyon sprawls and moves away.
Runyon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Allen as he avoids it easily.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Allen clinches up with Runyon and pushes him back against the cage.
Allen tries to land a knee to the head but Runyon blocks with his arms.
Allen can't break the clinch.
Allen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Runyon just stands there and leans against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Runyon scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Runyon misses with a head kick.
Allen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
No luck for Runyon with that takedown attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Runyon is defended easily by Allen.
Allen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Runyon sprawls and moves away.

Runyon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A head kick by Runyon misses

and Allen counters with a shoot takedown. Runyon fights it but they end up in guard.

Allen gets to his feet. Runyon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Runyon shoots in but Allen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Allen gets control of Runyon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Allen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Runyon is stalling in the full guard.
Runyon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Allen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Allen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Runyon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Royce Allen.
