Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jed Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Dee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Dee Penn is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jed Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Dee Penn!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jason Dee Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Knight finds it's way through Penn's defenses.
Penn fails with the takedown.
Knight lands a jab-cross combination.

Penn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Knight manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Knight is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Penn won't allow Knight to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Penn with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Penn tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Knight counters with a stiff right hand.
Knight cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Penn looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Knight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Penn controlling from the top position.
Knight definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight controls Penn momentarily but Penn frees himself.
Knight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Penn is looking to pass into half guard but Knight pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Knight is in guard.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Penn looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Knight has picked Penn up and slammed him! Penn can't keep hold of the triangle and Knight manages to pass to side control!

Knight stands up.
The crowd cheers as Knight lands an impressive looking overhand right. Penn doesn't seem phased though.
Knight lands a slapping body shot.
Penn with a lazy takedown attempt
and Penn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Knight lands with a nice body punch.

Knight closes the distance and pushes Penn back into the cage.
Knight wants to break free but Penn has control.

Knight breaks from the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Penn looks to clinch
and Knight counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Knight rushes Penn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knight has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jed Knight dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Penn gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Knight lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Knight bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Penn's head.


Penn is rocked!
Knight is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Penn fails with the takedown
and Knight counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Penn to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Knight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jed Knight!
