Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bee Jay and Pedro Kapaldi. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Bee Jay! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 2 losses; Pedro Kapaldi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

Kapaldi moves into range and clinches up with Jay.

Kapaldi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jay can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jay looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kapaldi wants to hit a switch here but Jay passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kapaldi there!

Jay jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kapaldi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kapaldi and Jay has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kapaldi is looking for a sweep. Jay is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kapaldi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jay's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jay's back!

I would not like to be Jay right now.

Kapaldi has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jay's body.
Kapaldi tries to keep control of the position but Jay is staying busy.
You can see the frustration on Jay's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Jay is having to fend off submission attempts from Kapaldi, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kapaldi doesn't have the hooks in though and Jay manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Jay drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kapaldi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kapaldi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kapaldi!
