PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derick Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Best of Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose just misses with a punch to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Leonidas enables Rose to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leonidas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Leonidas manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Rose drives through with a takedown into Leonidas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Rose is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rose has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Leonidas has Rose pulled in close to control his posture.
Rose throws an elbow that misses. Leonidas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rose's guard. Nice move by Leonidas!

Rose has his feet on Leonidas's thighs here. He's pushed Leonidas off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Leonidas screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Derick Rose thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
