Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chip Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ali Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Lose Yourself. The crowd seem to be enjoying Patterson's choice of entrance music: Family To Feed. Ali Patterson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chip Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ali Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson misses with a few strikes there.
Ryan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ryan seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Patterson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Some wild striking there from Patterson.
Patterson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryan.
Patterson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ryan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ryan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Patterson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ryan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Patterson defends well and Ryan ends up having to push Patterson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown. Patterson tries to sprawl out of it but Ryan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Patterson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ryan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ryan lands in his opponent's guard.
Patterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ryan shoots in but no luck this time.
Patterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Patterson stuffs the takedown attempt from Ryan. Ryan gets slowly back to his feet.
Ryan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Patterson fails to land with a series of punches.
Ryan feinted with a counter takedown.

Ryan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ryan lands in his opponent's guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ryan closes the distance and clinches up with Patterson, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes Patterson against the cage but Patterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ryan shoots in for a takedown but Patterson shows good takedown defense.

Ryan shoots in but Patterson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ryan drops down looking for a counter takedown but Patterson sprawls and moves away.

Ryan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ryan showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Patterson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chip Ryan showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Patterson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
