PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ashley Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Hardman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Hardman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardman misses with a straight left.
Harrington ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hardman misses with a looping left.
Harrington throws a body punch but Hardman moves out of range.
Harrington loads up on a big right hand but Hardman slips the punch.
Harrington moves in looking to clinch but Hardman pushes him off.
Hardman thumps Harrington with a low kick.
Hardman takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harrington stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hardman.
Hardman cracks Harrington with an open hand slap.

It looks like Ashley Harrington has been cut.
Hardman swinging wildly here.
Harrington throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hardman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Harrington is looking to slow Hardman down with leg kicks.
Harrington uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hardman.
Good leg kick by Harrington there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harrington takes one to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardman swats away the attempt to clinch by Harrington.
A big left from Harrington misses.
Harrington scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Harrington throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A big right from Hardman misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hardman, as that shot connected.
Hardman tries a head kick but it misses.
Harrington moves out of range of the strikes.
Harrington scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hardman is looking to land body kicks.
Hardman wants to land a leg kick but Harrington is out of range.
Harrington tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hardman manages to circle out of the way.
Harrington throws a head kick that misses.
Harrington misses with a jab to the body

and Hardman counters with a crisp one two that drops Harrington! Hardman thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Harrington to his feet! Harrington is in big trouble!

Harrington is rocked!

Hardman walks into a stiff left hand from Harrington.
Harrington missing with a left hand there. Hardman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Harrington takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harrington ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Harrington takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hardman moves out of range of the body kick.

Hardman cracks Harrington with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hardman has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Harrington to stand back up!
Oh Harrington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hardman misses with a two punch combination.
Harrington tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hardman manages to circle out of the way.
Harrington looks up at the clock. Bad move! Hardman lands a right hand from hell, dropping Harrington. Hardman pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
