Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Massa Hurmaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Massa Hurmaaja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyotr Korobeikin!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurmaaja darts in looking for a takedown but Korobeikin gets double underhooks and turns Hurmaaja into the cage.
Korobeikin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hurmaaja momentarily.
Decent striking displayed by Korobeikin there.
Korobeikin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Korobeikin moves out of range of the strikes.
Korobeikin throws a shot from downtown. Hurmaaja moves away and avoids it.
Korobeikin scores with a nice head shot.
Hurmaaja shoots in looking for a takedown. Korobeikin tries to sprawl out of it but Hurmaaja keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Korobeikin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Korobeikin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Korobeikin's corner calls for a 1-2. Korobeikin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hurmaaja or perhaps it was just good defense by Korobeikin, which made it look bad.

Hurmaaja shoots in but Korobeikin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hurmaaja throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Hurmaaja tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Korobeikin defends well and Hurmaaja ends up having to push Korobeikin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Korobeikin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hurmaaja has his foot on Korobeikin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Korobeikin works his way back into a safe position though.
Hurmaaja seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Korobeikin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hurmaaja with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hurmaaja is staying active underneath Korobeikin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hurmaaja tries to roll over but Korobeikin keeps him under control.
Massa Hurmaaja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hurmaaja has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Korobeikin is working away from the top position though.
Korobeikin is taking a breather. Hurmaaja says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pyotr Korobeikin is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Let's hope that Korobeikin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well Korobeikin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
