Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antero Rokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaun-Paul Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rokka comes to the cage accompanied by Twilight Guardians - Out of Our Hands. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antero Rokka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rokka swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fredrickson.


It looks like Jaun-Paul Fredrickson has been cut.
Rokka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fredrickson circles away quickly and effectively.
Fredrickson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Fredrickson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rokka to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fredrickson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rokka is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rokka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rokka looking to sit in guard and control but Fredrickson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fredrickson slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rokka regains full guard. Nicely done.
Rokka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rokka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fredrickson manages to get himself to full guard.

Rokka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rokka passes Fredrickson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rokka seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rokka wants to work for an arm triangle but Fredrickson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rokka lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Rokka is looking for a kimura here.
Fredrickson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rokka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rokka's back!

Rokka is in a bad position with Fredrickson working for a choke. Rokka manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Rokka definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rokka throws a strike but Fredrickson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fredrickson is pushing down on Rokka's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rokka is fighting to maintain full guard but Fredrickson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fredrickson works his way into full mount!
Rokka can't escape the position.

Fredrickson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rokka is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jaun-Paul Fredrickson!
A relieved looking Jaun-Paul Fredrickson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
