Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pithe Canthropus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacquiao comes to the cage accompanied by Its Time for War. Canthropus has chosen Pizzaman - Trippin' On Sunshine as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Pithe Canthropus enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Canthropus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pacquiao misses the shot to the body.
Canthropus throws a looping overhand right but Pacquiao ducks down to avoid it.
Canthropus tries to bum rush Pacquiao with a series of wild strikes but Pacquiao uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Canthropus slips a jab from Pacquiao.
Canthropus moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Pacquiao misses the target.
A lazy left from Pacquiao finds it's target.
Pacquiao throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Canthropus misses with an attempted mid kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Canthropus takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Canthropus throws a sloppy head kick and Pacquiao moves out of range easily.

Pacquiao lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Pithe Canthropus has been cut.

Pacquiao uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Canthropus.
Canthropus misses with a body shot.
Pithe Canthropus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Canthropus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pacquiao wants to get back to his feet.

Pacquiao bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Canthropus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Canthropus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Canthropus is trying to ground and pound but Pacquiao uses the momentary lack of control by Canthropus to regain half guard.
Canthropus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pacquiao's head.

Pacquiao wants to stand and escape but Canthropus is having none of it.
Canthropus throws a strike but Pacquiao rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Pacquiao is working Canthropus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pacquiao tries to stand but Canthropus is controlling from the bottom.
Canthropus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Pacquiao seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Canthropus loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pacquiao had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Canthropus defends it easily.

Pacquiao pushes Canthropus off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Pacquiao looks to land a right hand but Canthropus moved out of range.
Pacquiao jabs Canthropus right on the nose. Canthropus blinks but takes it well.
Canthropus throws a head kick that misses.
A nice combination there by Pacquiao.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pacquiao has one foot on Canthropus's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Pacquiao's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pacquiao fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Canthropus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Canthropus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pacquiao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Canthropus somewhat.
Manny Pacquiao is winning the standup battle so far.
Pacquiao swings for the body but Canthropus moves out of range.
Canthropus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pacquiao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Canthropus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pacquiao counters with a nice body shot.
Pacquiao connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Canthropus! He's out on his feet! Pacquiao rushes in and drops Canthropus with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Manny Pacquiao!
