Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andre Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jo Ballinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza comes to the cage accompanied by Brazil National Anthem. Ballinger has chosen Cheese Scones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ballinger.
Souza is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Souza scores with a punch to the head.

Souza lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Ballinger misses with a short punch on the inside.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Souza creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ballinger is looking for a triangle but Souza pushes his legs off easily.
Ballinger is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Souza is aware though and is defending well.
Ballinger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Souza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Souza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Souza's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Ballinger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Souza stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Souza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ballinger throws a hook to the side of Souza's head but Souza sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ballinger throws a push kick but Souza slaps the foot to one side.
Ballinger throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Ballinger takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Souza steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ballinger.
A chopping leg kick lands by Souza.
Souza scores with a jab.
A big right from Ballinger misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Souza dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ballinger throws a head kick that misses
and Souza counters with a low kick, right behind Ballinger 's knee.
Souza punishes Ballinger's body with a nice straight punch.
Ballinger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Souza moves away.
A counter left hand to the body from Souza misses its target.

Souza connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ballinger's hands.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ballinger enables Souza to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ballinger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Souza swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ballinger is now in Souza's guard. A big mistake from Souza there, giving up the dominant position!

Ballinger is posturing up here but Souza has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ballinger tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ballinger has to tap! Slick submission there by Souza!

A less than humble Andre Souza misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Jo Ballinger stepped up to the mic, saying 'You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance!'.
