The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newcastle lands a right hook to the body.
Newcastle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Newcastle thuds his right hand into Gold's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gold lands a body shot.
Gold has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Beast in the buildup to the fight.
Gold swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Newcastle has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gold looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Newcastle cracks Gold with an open hand slap.
Gold connects with a high kick.

It looks like Alton Newcastle has been cut.
Newcastle bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gold's head backwards.

Oh Gold is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alton Newcastle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Newcastle lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Gold head around and knocks him out cold! Newcastle hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
