The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orkidea throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hartlock.
Hartlock throws the left hand but Orkidea avoids the punch easily.
Hartlock moves out of range of the leg kick from Orkidea.
Orkidea blocks a jab.
Orkidea thinks about the counter body kick.
Orkidea takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Olof Orkidea has been cut.
Hartlock throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Orkidea stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Orkidea forces Hartlock back against the ropes and clinches.

Hartlock tries to work over Orkidea's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Orkidea pushes off an throws an elbow but Hartlock leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Orkidea looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hartlock! Submission of the night perhaps?

After the fight, Brett Hartlock was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
