Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Willis!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinshaw missing with a left hand there. Willis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kinshaw loads up on a big right hand but Willis slips the punch.
Willis missing with a left hand there. Kinshaw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kinshaw is looking to clinch but Willis is avoiding it.
Willis scores with a one two! Kinshaw had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kinshaw punishes Willis's body with a nice straight punch.

Kinshaw darts in and clinches Willis up against the cage.
Kinshaw swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kinshaw lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Nice body punch from Kinshaw.
Willis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Willis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Willis cracks Kinshaw with a nice body shot.
A short right from Kinshaw on the inside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Willis tries to break free but Kinshaw pushes him back against the cage.
Willis misses with a hook from the clinch.
Willis is trying to break the clinch but Kinshaw is controlling him.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Willis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kinshaw pushes Willis back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kinshaw is pressed up against the cage. Willis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kinshaw down to the mat. Kinshaw avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kinshaw changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kinshaw lands with a right hand.
A shot to the liver by Kinshaw. Beautiful body shot.
Kinshaw looks to land a left hand but Willis moved out of range nicely.
Willis swings for the body but Kinshaw moves out of range.
Willis throws the left hand but Kinshaw avoids the punch easily.
Kinshaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Willis throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kinshaw has Willis up against the cage in a clinch.
Kinshaw stops a takedown attempt from Willis.
Kinshaw makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Willis wants the takedown. Kinshaw is fighting it off but Willis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kinshaw's guard against the cage.

Kinshaw has his feet on Willis's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Willis throws a lazy right hand but Kinshaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kinshaw scores with a punch to the head.
Willis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Willis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kinshaw.
Kinshaw misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Willis.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kinshaw rushes Willis and presses him up against the cage.
Willis tries to break free but Kinshaw pushes him back against the cage.
Kinshaw swings wildly with an uppercut but Willis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kinshaw tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kinshaw scores with a shot to the side of Willis's head.


Willis is rocked!
Kinshaw throws a head punch that misses.
Willis is still on wobbly legs! Can Kinshaw finish him?
Kinshaw lands a nice elbow.
Willis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kinshaws head.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kinshaw.
Willis is trying to break the clinch but Kinshaw has him pressed against the cage.
Kinshaw lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Kinshaw pushes Willis against the cage. Kinshaw is working some dirty boxing. Kinshaw pushes off with a quick right hook! Willis goes down! Willis tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Kinshaw moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karter Kinshaw!
Karter Kinshaw retains his lightweight title!
Dom Willis spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll be back better than ever!'.
