Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benno Wagner !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Campion!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campion tries to keep at a distance but Wagner has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wagner 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wagner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wagner throws a series of punches but Campion moves out of range.
Campion let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Wagner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Campion was well out of range. Poor timing from Wagner .
Campion on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Campion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wagner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Wagner tries to keep at a distance but Campion has taken the fight into the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Campion moves forwards but Wagner connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Campion goes for a double leg but Wagner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wagner continues to drive forward.

Nice straight punches there by Campion. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Campion.

A quick step to the side and Wagner tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wagner slips under a jab.
Campion takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Luke Campion has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Wagner has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Campion slips a straight right by Wagner .
Campion tries to move into range but Wagner moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Campion tries to clinch but Wagner is having none of it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wagner , as that shot connected.

Wagner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wagner lands a nice hook to Campion's body. Campion takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wagner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Wagner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wagner darts in looking for a takedown but Campion gets double underhooks and turns Wagner into the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Campion looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown attempt by Campion or perhaps it was just good defense by Wagner , which made it look bad.
Benno Wagner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Campion.
Campion tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wagner swivels and escapes.
Campion swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Wagner throws a hook to the side of Campion's head but Campion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wagner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Campion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wagner as he jumps to the side.
Wagner takes a swing at Campion's ribcage but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Campion is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wagner pulls his head out easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Campion swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wagner is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Campion can do to turn this around?

Wagner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Campion sprawls well initially but Wagner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Campion wants to control but Wagner is keeping busy.
Wagner takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Campion is trying to stand back up but Wagner is controlling him

Wagner 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Campion escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wagner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Campion is looking for a triangle but Wagner pushes his legs off easily.

Campion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Wagner throws a combination. Campion tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Campion fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wagner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Campion drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Campion tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wagner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Campion isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wagner stacks Campion on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wagner !

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Campion throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

Wagner seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Campion walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wagner shoots in for a takedown but Campion shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wagner sends Campion crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Wagner is motioning to the referee to let Campion up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Campion is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Campion gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
