The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teitel is looking to chop away at Clements's legs.
Teitel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clements moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clements throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Teitel counters with a shoot takedown. Clements fights it but they end up in guard.

Clements is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Teitel is controlling him.

Clements pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Doug Teitel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clements is trying hard to land a takedown here. Teitel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Clements shoots for a double leg takedown but Teitel sprawls well. He's pushed Clements's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Teitel has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clements uses from the top position.
Clements is fighting to break Teitel's control of his arms but Teitel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Teitel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Clements knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Teitel on the ground.

Teitel quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Clements has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Teitel celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
