PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Bubbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Lazlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazlo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stronger by Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bubbles closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lazlo's guard.
Lazlo wants to sweep here but Bubbles controlling him for the moment.
Bubbles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lazlo is looking to stand up but Bubbles isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lazlo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bubbles with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bubbles is trying to maintain the position but Lazlo is very close to passing his half guard.

Lazlo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bubbles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bubbles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lazlo sprawls well initially but Bubbles persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lazlo is pressing down on Bubbles 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Lazlo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bubbles 's guard.

Lazlo has hold of Bubbles 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bubbles manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lazlo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lazlo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The referee warns Bubbles that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Lazlo looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Bubbles covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
