Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Renoir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kevin McAdams!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renoir shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McAdams as he jumps to the side.

McAdams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Renoir on his heels. He'll look to pass Renoir's guard now, I'm sure.

McAdams won't allow Renoir to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Renoir is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McAdams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Renoir pulls McAdams in close to prevent any damage.

McAdams controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Horrible takedown attempt by Renoir or perhaps it was just good defense by McAdams, which made it look bad.
McAdams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Renoir tries to avoid it but McAdams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Renoir to the ground. Renoir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kevin McAdams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and McAdams counters with a shoot takedown. Renoir fights it but they end up in guard.

Renoir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McAdams did well to prevent Renoir getting side control.

Renoir is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McAdams is keen to just control but Renoir is a slippery customer.
Renoir is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
McAdams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Renoir dives in and grabs McAdams's left leg, looking for a takedown. McAdams pushes down on Renoir's head and hops out.

Jean Renoir showed his dominance in that final round.
Well McAdams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
