Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Nathan Dillard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Dillard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Browne!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillard shoots for a takedown but Browne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Browne throws a counter combo.
A punch combination from Browne misses.
Dillard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Browne defends well and Dillard ends up having to push Browne into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Browne misses with a straight left.
Dillard fails with the takedown.
Browne wants to counter with a clinch but Dillard pushes him away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan Dillard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Browne misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dillard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Browne misses with a shot to the body
and Dillard counters with a series of strikes. Browne will be more careful next time no doubt.

Browne clinches up with Dillard and pushes him back against the cage.

Dillard fails to pull guard.
Dillard has Browne pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Browne manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Browne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Browne should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Browne closes the distance and pushes Dillard back into the cage.
Dillard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dillard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dillard closes the distance and clinches up with Browne, looking for a takedown. Dillard pushes Browne against the cage but Browne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Browne throws a looping overhand right but Dillard ducks down to avoid it.
Dillard keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dillard.
Browne misses with a combination
enabling Dillard to counter with a crisp jab.
Browne doesn't manage to clinch there - Dillard circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Browne.
Dillard went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Browne tries to clinch but Dillard moves out of range.
Dillard throws a head kick that misses

and Browne holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Browne's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dillard fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Browne appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Browne stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Browne wants it to stay on the feet.
Browne connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dillard. Dillard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Nathan Dillard has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Browne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Browne shoots in but Dillard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dillard swats away the attempt to clinch by Browne.
Dillard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dillard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Browne as he avoids it easily.
Browne moves in looking to clinch but Dillard pushes him off.
Dillard appears to be looking for a big counter.

Browne fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dillard, pushing him back against the cage.

Browne slows down the pace here.

Dillard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Browne lands a hook that stumbles Dillard back into the cage. Browne follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Dillard to the canvas! Browne pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Dillard has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Simon Browne!
Simon Browne was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
