The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaak takes a swing at Dusk's ribcage but misses.
Dusk throws out a counter right but Jaak avoids it with no problem.
Kylma Jaak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dusk finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Jaak has been working on his balance at Canadian Dragon MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Dusk.

Dusk throws a shot from downtown. Jaak moves away and avoids it.
Jaak connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Dusk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jaak isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dusk stacks Jaak on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dusk!
