Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wendell Cunningham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cunningham gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cunningham throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Cunningham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Johnson is trying to control Cunningham's posture but Cunningham avoids it.

You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Johnson manages to get back to half guard.
Cunningham knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.

Johnson wants to control but Cunningham is keeping busy.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cunningham is working for a submission of some sort.

Cunningham really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cunningham wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cunningham decides to return to a standing position.

Cunningham manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Johnson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Cunningham throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Johnson's body to avoid the submission. Johnson has instead reached around Cunningham's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Johnson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
