Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Daath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Kruger!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daath pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kruger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Daath.
Daath has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kruger darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kruger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daath moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kruger lands a nice looking body shot.
Kruger looks to land a right hand but Daath moved out of range.
Kruger lands an overhand right.
Daath misses with a straight left.
Kruger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Daath misses the body punch
letting Kruger counter with a right hand.
Daath takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Daath throws a body shot but no joy.
Kruger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Daath looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Daath misses with an uppercut. Kruger saw that one coming.
Daath throws a body punch but Kruger moves out of range.
Kruger counters with a body kick.
Kruger shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Daath eats them both and turns towards Kruger to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Daath pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daath missing with a left hand there. Kruger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kruger lunges at Daath with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Daath's hand.
Kruger has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kruger moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


Daath is rocked!
Kruger jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oh Daath is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kruger moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Daath seems to have got his legs back now.
A swing and a miss from Daath.
Kruger ducks under a wild hook from Daath.
Daath takes one to the chin there.
Kruger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kruger scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kruger throws a body punch but Daath moves out of range.
A good leg kick by Kruger.
Daath misses with a straight left.
Kruger cracks Daath with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Kruger holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kruger throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Daath blocks it with crossed arms.
Kruger lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Daath backwards.
We've been informed that Kruger has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kruger lands a left hand.
Kruger utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Kruger lands a knee to the head.

Kruger lands a huge knee in the clinch and it's knocked Daath out! Massive knee - he's celebrating with his corner and the crowd showing their appreciation!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Paul Kruger!
In his post fight interview, Paul Kruger started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Max Daath stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks to my coaches and trainers at Fight Factory and my sponsor UNITY CLOTHING...'.
