Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Cyprus Hill - Hits From the Bong. Banana comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Banana Boat Song (Day O) - Harry Belafonte kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banana connects with a high kick.

It looks like Jay Hunter has been cut.
Hunter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hunter misses with a double jab.
Banana plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Banana lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hunter moves out of range of the body kick from Banana.
Hunter tries to work over Banana's front leg with a kick but Banana checks it.
Hunter throws a front kick aimed at Banana's knee but Banana avoids it well.
Hunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Banana.
Molly Banana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banana dodges the punch combination from Hunter.
Banana throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Banana lands a big head kick that sends Hunter tumbling to the mat! Banana takes a step backwards and waves Hunter back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Hunter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Banana drops Hunter with a straight right hand, right on the button! Banana follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
