Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnn Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnn Connors will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Dillashaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnn Connors!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connors dodges the punch combination from Dillashaw.
Connors shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dillashaw defends it nicely.
Connors scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Connors gets a double leg takedown into Dillashaw's guard.

Dillashaw manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Connors tries to pull guard but Dillashaw holds him up against the cage and eventually Connors drops back down to his feet.

Dillashaw breaks from the clinch.

Connors misses with a head kick.
Connors throws a nice outside leg kick.
Connors throws a right hand that Dillashaw ducks under and follows up with a left that Dillashaw also avoids with ease.
Connors is looking to clinch.
Connors shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dillashaw but Dillashaw pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marcus Dillashaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnn Connors.

Connors shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dillashaw as he avoids it easily.
As Connors looks to move away, Dillashaw throws a big counter combo but Connors just gets out of the way.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Connors shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dillashaw but Dillashaw pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dillashaw seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Connors looks winded!
Connors throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Dillashaw has Connors up against the cage in a clinch.
Connors is trying to maintain a safe position but Dillashaw gets an underhook and turns Connors into the cage.

Dillashaw breaks the clinch.
Dillashaw tries a head kick but it misses.
Dillashaw throws a right hand that Connors ducks under and follows up with a left that Connors also avoids with ease.
Connors takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Johnn Connors has been cut.
Dillashaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dillashaw lands a left and a right that send Connors crashing to the mat, dazed. Dillashaw thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Connors trying to keep a closed guard but Dillashaw is proving a slippery customer.
Dillashaw wants to control from the top but Connors keeps moving.

Connors is looking to clinch but Dillashaw is avoiding it.

Connors shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Connors was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dillashaw bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Connors is breathing heavily.

Dillashaw closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Connors to the mat! Connors manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dillashaw trying to control the position from guard on top but Connors is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Connors is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dillashaw chips away with some ground and pound.
Dillashaw slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connors is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Connors had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dillashaw defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Connors shoots in and drives through. Dillashaw sprawls well.
Dillashaw throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Dillashaw throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Connors was covering up waiting for the punch and Dillashaw finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dillashaw buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Connors shoots in looking for a takedown. Dillashaw tries to sprawl out of it but Connors keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dillashaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dillashaw throws a counter high kick but Connors was just alert enough to avoid it.
Marcus Dillashaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnn Connors.

Dillashaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dillashaw takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dillashaw is trying to control. Connors wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dillashaw seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Connors is looking to control Dillashaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Connors avoid being mounted?
Well, if Dillashaw is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
