The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Umalatov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nilsen scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Dennis Nilsen has been cut.

Nilsen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Umalatov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nilsen sprawls well. Nilsen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Umalatov gets slowly back to his feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Umalatov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nilsen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nilsen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Umalatov drops his shoulder and cracks Nilsen with a huge uppercut! Nilsen goes down! Can Umalatov finish him?

Umalatov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

In his post fight interview, Gasan Umalatov started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
