Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Petey Flowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Yakuza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yakuza has chosen The Legend of Zelda, Overworld as his entrance music. Ichi Yakuza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yakuza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Flowers counters with a shoot takedown. Yakuza fights it but they end up in guard.

Flowers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flowers seems to be working for a kimura but Yakuza defends the submission attempt.

Flowers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
