Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimy Sun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shields drives through and clinches with Sun against the cage.

Shields drags the fight down to the ground.
Sun has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at White's ELITE Fitness Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Shields uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sun, as that shot connected.

It looks like Ryan Shields has been cut.

Shields changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shields has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sun is trying to get back to his feet.
Sun taking a bit of punishment here - Shields scoring with strikes.
Shields is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sun's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shields throws a strike aimed at the side of Sun's head but Sun avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sun is letting Shields control him for a moment.

Shields has hold of Sun's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sun tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shields cranks the arm and Sun screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sun, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ryan Shields !
Jimy Sun was interviewed post fight and said ' Congratulation at the winner.'.
