Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lemuel Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Coccotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincenzo Coccotti will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincenzo Coccotti!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Hoffman blocks the leg kick.
Hoffman wants to clinch.
Coccotti let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Coccotti lands with a nice body punch.
Coccotti lands a slapping body shot.
Coccotti moves into the clinch.
Hoffman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Coccotti's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coccotti manages to break the clinch.
Hoffman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Coccotti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoffman.
Coccotti moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Hoffman dives in and grabs Coccotti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coccotti pushes down on Hoffman's head and hops out.
Hoffman really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Coccotti looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
It looked like Hoffman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Coccotti feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hoffmans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Coccotti looks to land a combination but Hoffman avoids it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coccotti has a hand on Hoffman's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hoffman takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
You get the feeling that Coccotti really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hoffman is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coccotti moves into the clinch.
Hoffman breaks the clinch.
Hoffman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coccotti's waist but Coccotti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hoffman off to one side.
Coccotti shoots in but no luck this time.
Hoffman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Coccotti has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hoffman breaks from the clinch.
Coccotti stalks Hoffman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoffman's face. Hoffman staggers backwards, shaken.

Coccotti jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Coccotti closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hoffman tries to stall but Coccotti uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Coccotti can't break the clinch.
Coccotti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

As Coccotti looks to move away, Hoffman throws a big counter combo but Coccotti just gets out of the way.
Hoffman shoots in looking for a takedown. Coccotti tries to sprawl out of it but Hoffman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Coccotti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lemuel Hoffman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

As Coccotti looks to move away, Hoffman throws a big counter combo but Coccotti just gets out of the way.

Hoffman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Coccotti's guard.

Hoffman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coccotti.

Hoffman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Coccotti on his heels. He'll look to pass Coccotti's guard now, I'm sure.
Coccotti can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hoffman controls the pace.
Lemuel Hoffman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hoffman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hoffman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Coccotti can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Coccotti tries to lock up and control but Hoffman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hoffman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hoffman is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Coccotti is forced to tap! Great finish!
