Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kari Jurri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurri kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rising Darkness. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo wants to clinch but Jurri slips to the side

and Jurri counters with a shoot takedown. Aldo fights it but they end up in guard.
Aldo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jurri manages to pass to side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jurri looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jurri frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jurri has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Jurri has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Jurri.
Jurri is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Aldo is in real trouble.
Aldo is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jurri.

Aldo won't enjoy being in this position. Jurri looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Aldo is tapping - it's over boys! Jurri picks up the submission victory!
