Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Pomper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grister Charnstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pomper comes to the cage accompanied by Cotten eye joe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pomper needs to keep his hands up - Charnstrom had a free shot at his head there.
Pomper throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Pomper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Charnstrom.
A big left from Charnstrom misses.
Pomper loads up on a big right hand but Charnstrom slips the punch.
Pomper swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rob Pomper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pomper. Charnstrom does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pomper scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pomper takes a swing at Charnstrom's ribcage but misses.
Pomper walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pomper is looking to wear down Charnstrom with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pomper throws a right hand that Charnstrom ducks under and follows up with a left that Charnstrom also avoids with ease.

It looks like Grister Charnstrom has been cut.
Pomper looks to throw the jab but Charnstrom is out of range.
Pomper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pomper swats away the attempt to clinch by Charnstrom.
Pomper comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pomper connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Pomper lands a jab to Charnstrom's midsection.
Charnstrom looks winded!
Pomper misses with a wild body shot.

Charnstrom looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Pomper looks to land a combination but Charnstrom avoids it well.
Pomper misses the shot to the body.
Charnstrom tries to counter with a clinch but Pomper shakes him off and moves away.
Pomper throws a body punch but Charnstrom moves out of range.
Pomper sets himself, and Charnstrom steps forward looking for the clinch! Pomper avoids it this time.

and Charnstrom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Charnstrom rushes Pomper and presses him up against the cage.

Pomper digs a right hand into Charnstrom's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Charnstrom's gas tank.
A short body shot lands from Pomper as the two fighters clinch.

Charnstrom is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Pomper lands an uppercut.
Charnstrom is rocked!
Pomper dips a shoulder and cracks Charnstrom with a mighty uppercut! Charnstrom falls back against the cage and Pomper unloads with a barrage of strikes! Charnstrom is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pomper screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Pomper!
