PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fin Sven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Tatli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatli misses with a double jab
enabling Sven to counter with a crisp jab.
Sven tries a low kick but Tatli avoids it.
Sven turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Robert Tatli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tatli takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Sven has closed the distance and engaged Tatli in a clinch.
Tatli takes an elbow to the forehead.
Tatli looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Sven manages to break the clinch.
Sven takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sven with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Sven turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sven manages to end up in side control.

Sven is looking to take a break and control but Tatli is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tatli slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Sven throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tatli stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sven is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tatli can do to turn this around?
Tatli misses with a looping left.
Some wild striking there from Sven.
Tatli tries to move into range but Sven moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tatli takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Tatli decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sven's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tatli slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sven is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tatli dives into side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sven is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tatli scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sven closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sven lands in his opponent's guard.

Tatli is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Sven tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tatli sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sven somewhat.

Robert Tatli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Tatli thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sven is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Tatli jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tatli takes a swing at Sven's ribcage but misses.
Sven moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sven uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tatli.

Sven clinches up with Tatli and pushes him back against the cage.
Sven is leaning against Tatli and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Tatli doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sven missing with knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tatli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tatli pushes Sven away with a front kick.
Sven swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Tatli counters with a shoot takedown. Sven fights it but they end up in guard.
Sven is wriggling around but Tatli manages to pass to half guard.

Sven on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sven tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tatli working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Sven turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tatli off and cradles Sven's limp body as Tatli celebrates with his corner.
