PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Montgomery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spencer has chosen Know Your Enemy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Thomas Montgomery has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Thomas Montgomery seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spencer gets a takedown into half guard.

Spencer is looking for a kimura here.
Montgomery wants to improve his position but Spencer is controlling well.
Spencer is trying to control the action in half guard but Montgomery is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Spencer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spencer wants to work for an arm triangle but Montgomery is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Spencer in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Montgomery tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Spencer!
