Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 25 - 1, fighting out of New York, AL Lickertwat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Graham!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lickertwat scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Graham closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Graham throws a hook but Lickertwat avoids it easily.
Graham shoots in looking for a takedown but Lickertwat manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Graham's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've been hearing reports that Lickertwat has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Lickertwat lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lickertwat takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Graham throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Lickertwat counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lickertwat stands and throws Graham's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The referee asks Lickertwat politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lickertwat prefers to stall for the moment though.

Lickertwat has hold of Graham's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Graham tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lickertwat cranks the arm and Graham screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Graham, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). AL Lickertwat!
An out of breath and clearly excited AL Lickertwat thanked Milwaukee's Best Nutrition for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
