Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robbin Nevil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jay Scott!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevil throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Scott takes a swing at Nevil's ribcage but misses.
Nevil throws a hook but Scott avoids it easily.
The crowd cheers as Nevil lands an impressive looking overhand right. Scott doesn't seem phased though.
Scott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nevil manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Scott has his takedown stuffed
and Nevil counters with a nice uppercut.
Nevil lands a body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Scott.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nevil struggles to land a body shot inside as Scott controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott takes a shot to the head.
Nevil gets through Scott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A bit of stalling here from Scott.
Nevil lands a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Scott.
Scott missing with knees to the body.
Nevil tries a body shot but Scott blocks it.
Nevil lands a left hand that snaps the head of Scott backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from Nevil.
Nevil definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nevil scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Nevil pushes Scott back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Scott trying to stall but Nevil improves his position.
Scott tries to land knees in the clinch but Nevil avoids the damage to the body.
Scott's coach down at The Bear's Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Scott's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Scott stalling in the clinch.
Nevil scores with a shot to the side of Scott's head.
Nevil lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Scott tries to stall but Nevil uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Nevil lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Scott breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Scott on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scott with a poor takedown
and Nevil counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Nevil gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Scott has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nevil after a bit of a struggle.
Robbin Nevil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Scott.
A nice left hand lands by Nevil.
Nevil lands a nice uppercut.
Nevil scores with a hook to the body.
Nevil lands a left hand.
Nevil lands with a light punch inside.

Scott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice uppercut there from Nevil.
Scott misses with a right hand
and Nevil connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Scott is rocked!
Nevil scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Nevil finish him?
Robbin Nevil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nevil moves away from the strike by Scott.
Nevil is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Nevil lunges at Scott with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Scott's hand.

Nevil takes the fight into the clinch.
Nevil softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Nevil dips a shoulder and cracks Scott with a mighty uppercut! Scott falls back against the cage and Nevil unloads with a barrage of strikes! Scott is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Nevil screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbin Nevil!
In his post fight interview, Robbin Nevil started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
