Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walton Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blue Kandle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Walton Shepard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kandle clinches up with Shepard and pushes him back against the cage.
Shepard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kandle to keep the fight standing.

Shepard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kandle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kandle fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kandle working the ground and pound but Shepard is defending the strikes.
Shepard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kandle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kandle swings around for an armbar but Shepard sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kandle's guard.

Kandle scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kandle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shepard swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kandle feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shepards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kandle closes the distance and clinches.

Kandle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kandle moves into the clinch.

Kandle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kandle swats away the attempt to clinch by Shepard.

Kandle gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kandle is trying to push Shepard away but Shepard has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Shepard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kandle avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kandle looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kandle lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Kandle tries to break free but Shepard pushes him back against the cage.
Shepard keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kandle's efforts to push away.

A nice left hand lands by Kandle.
Kandle prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Walton Shepard. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shepard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kandle misses with the combination.
Kandle misses with an attempted mid kick.
Shepard wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Shepard checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kandle throws a head kick that misses.
Blue Kandle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kandle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shepard is looking to counter the offense by Kandle and move into the clinch.
Kandle connects with a nice looking jab.

Kandle wants to break free but Shepard has control.

Shepard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kandle manages to break the clinch.
Kandle displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Kandle throws a right and a left that Shepard avoids nicely.
Kandle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Shepard is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kandle cracks Shepard's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Shepard slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Kandle can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Blue Kandle!
Blue Kandle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
