Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and L Manning Hines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krause's entrance music is Heart of a Champion. A fine choice. James Krause has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hines swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Krause.

James Krause seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Krause throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hines's waist but Hines gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krause off to one side.
Hines stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hines wants it to stay on the feet.

Krause goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hines has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Krause but great work by Hines.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hines is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Krause defends it well.

Krause will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've been hearing good reports from Krause's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that James Krause will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hines pivots, looking for a leg kick but Krause is out of range and Hines settles back down.
Hines throws a right hand that Krause ducks under and follows up with a left that Krause also avoids with ease.

Hines throws a series of punches but Krause moves out of range.

Krause takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Krause looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hines is fending him off so far but Krause persists. Nope, Hines circles away and we're back to standing.
Oh Krause is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Hines counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
