Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Siblas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Dijkstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siblas comes to the cage accompanied by "Not Falling" by Mudvayne. Dijkstra has chosen Soulfly - Back To The Primitive as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Omar Dijkstra!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Dijkstra checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A left lands for Dijkstra.
Dijkstra connects with an inside leg kick.
Siblas lands with an uppercut that bounces Dijkstra off the cage and back into range.


It looks like Omar Dijkstra has been cut.

Dijkstra throws a chopping leg kick but Siblas manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Tony Siblas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A quick step to the side and Siblas tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Siblas jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Siblas checks the leg kick nicely there.
Siblas connects with a right hand. Dijkstra shakes it off.
Siblas throws the left hand but Dijkstra avoids the punch easily.

Siblas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dijkstra.

Dijkstra closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dijkstra lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dijkstra is looking for a kimura but Siblas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dijkstra to get the leverage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dijkstra throws an elbow that misses. Siblas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dijkstra's guard. Nice move by Siblas!

Dijkstra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dijkstra feints and then cracks Siblas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Siblas down.

Good leg kick by Siblas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dijkstra will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Well Dijkstra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
