Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Born (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Born!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Born gets a takedown into half guard.
Born seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Goodman trying to control but Born postures up.
Born throwing shots but Goodman is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Born seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goodman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Goodman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Born is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Goodman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Born rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Goodman's guard! Nice work there by Born!
Goodman pulls Born in close to his closed guard and prevents Born from doing any damage or advancing position.

Born drops back looking for a leg! Goodman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goodman manages to kick Born off! Born jumps back into Goodman's guard.
Born is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Born wanted to stand there but Goodman had control of the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Born's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Goodman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Born sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goodman somewhat.

Born closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Goodman's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goodman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Born has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Goodman has managed to get both his arms back between Born's legs - danger averted.
