Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Brockwell!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Brockwell. Brockwell maintains the clinch.

Brockwell decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Davis throws a big right hand that misses.
Brockwell has Davis pulled in close to control his posture.

Brockwell looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Brockwell tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Davis defends well and Brockwell ends up having to push Davis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Brockwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brockwell somewhat.

Brockwell gets control of Davis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brockwell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brockwell is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Brockwell seems keen to control Davis's posture.
Davis wants to control from the top but Brockwell keeps moving.
Brockwell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Davis wants to get up but he can't break Brockwell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Brockwell rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brockwell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davis smiles and moves away.

Brockwell clinches.
Brockwell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Davis tries to break the clinch but Brockwell is controlling the position.

Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Davis.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brockwell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davis but Davis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kevin Brockwell will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Brockwell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Davis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Brockwell.
Davis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Brockwell drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Davis defends it well.

Brockwell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Davis to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Brockwell manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Brockwell wants to take the fight to the mat but Davis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Brockwell looking to throw knees to the head but Davis is blocking nicely.

Brockwell shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Brockwell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brockwell is rocked!


It looks like Kevin Brockwell has been cut.
Brockwell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Brockwell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brockwell doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Brockwell is breathing heavily.

and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brockwell won't be happy with that.
Brockwell is still in real trouble! Can Davis finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Davis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Brockwell seems to have recovered his senses.

Brockwell wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance.

Davis misses with a two punch combination.
Brockwell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davis as he avoids it easily.
Brockwell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brockwell off to one side.
Davis thinks about countering with a head kick.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.

Davis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brockwell avoids it really well and circles away.

Brockwell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kevin Brockwell seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Brockwell won't allow it.

Davis controls from within his opponent's guard.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brockwell on the ground.

Brockwell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Davis stands up from Brockwell's guard - Davis perhaps looking for a knockout.

Davis has taken the fight to the clinch.

Brockwell tries for a takedown but Davis manages to get underhooks.
Brockwell is leaning against Davis and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brockwell has him pressed against the cage.

Davis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brockwell gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Davis lands a left hand.
Brockwell gets underhooks to prevent Davis's takedown attempt.

Davis drags the fight down to the ground.
Brockwell showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Brockwell drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Brockwell off! Brockwell jumps back into Davis's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kevin Brockwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brockwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
