Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dana Woodard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Severn!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn goes for a double leg but Woodard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woodard continues to drive forward.

Severn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Woodard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Severn tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Woodard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Severn's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Woodard is pressing down on Severn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Severn trying to control the position from guard on top but Woodard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Woodard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Severn postures up in Woodard's guard and throws a big left but Woodard blocks it.
Severn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Woodard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Woodard is trying to control the position but Severn postures up.
Severn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Woodard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Woodard is on top in guard.

Severn wants to hit a switch here but Woodard passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Severn there!
Severn is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Woodard lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Severn hang on?

Severn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Severn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Woodard avoids the attempt from Severn to control.
Severn tries to improve his position but instead Woodard has taken his back!
Severn can't escape the position.
Severn wants to control his opponent's hands but Woodard gets his hands free.
Severn is trying to stand back up.

Woodard is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Severn is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Severn trying to get back to his feet but Woodard is in full control for now.
Woodard not allowing Severn to control his hands.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dana Woodard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Severn dives in and grabs Woodard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Woodard pushes down on Severn's head and hops out.
Severn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Severn looks to move away, Woodard throws a big counter combo but Severn just gets out of the way.
Severn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Woodard connects with a leg kick. Severn looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Severn is defended easily by Woodard.
Dana Woodard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Severn.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woodard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Severn's guard.

Woodard is in close to Severn's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Severn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woodard is controlling him.

Severn working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Woodard has passed into half guard!
Severn is breathing heavily.
Severn is looking to get back to is feet but Woodard passes into side control.
Severn wants to get back to his feet but Woodard is dominant here and he's now got Severn's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woodard has the hooks in. Severn is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Severn just trying to survive but Woodard is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Severn is looking to control the hands but Woodard breaks free and manages to sink in a rear naked choke that ends the fight!
