Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Varg Veide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itse Perkele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veide kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Itse Perkele!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veide swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Perkele.
Perkele lands with a straight right. Veide didn't see that one coming.
Perkele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Veide doesn't seem bothered though.
Perkele slips a jab and a cross from Veide.
Veide missing with a left hand there. Perkele was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Veide looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Veide thuds his shin into the meat of Perkele's side.
Veide on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A clash of legs there as Veide blocks the low kick.
Veide gets a clinch.
Perkele's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perkele's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Donk. Perkele catches Veide right on the button with a cross.
Veide swinging wildly here.
Perkele swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Veide throws a leg kick
and Perkele counters with a nice body kick.
Perkele scores with a shot to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Perkele has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Veide jabs Perkele to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Perkele throws a head kick but Veide moves out of range.
Veide feints and then cracks Perkele's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perkele down.
Perkele bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Veide's head.
Perkele takes a swing at Veide's ribcage but misses.
Veide connects with a solid leg kick.
Perkele on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Veide checks a leg kick nicely.
Veide misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Perkele.
Veide uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Perkele.
Veide appears to be looking for a big counter.
Perkele lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Perkele is looking to slow Veide down with leg kicks.
No joy there for Perkele, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
An inside leg kick from Veide misses.
Veide closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perkele tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Veide is able to avoid easily.
Veide throwing a counter right hand but Perkele manages to avoid it.
Veide lands a jab.

Perkele misses with a hook. Veide ducked under it nicely.
Veide throws a nice inside leg kick.
Perkele misses with a two punch combination.
Veide tries a head kick but it misses.
Veide doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Perkele ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Veide moves away.
It looked like Veide wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Veide jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Perkele swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Veide gets a clinch.
A short right from Perkele.
Perkele is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
I was talking to Veide's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Veide is breathing heavily.
Perkele breaks from the clinch.
A jab from Perkele does it's job there.
Veide takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Perkele dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Veide. That did some damage!
A slapping leg kick lands for Perkele.
Perkele has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Perkele moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perkele throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Veide.
Veide drops his hands momentarily and Perkele takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Perkele lands a slapping body shot.
Perkele blocks the body kick.
Perkele is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Veide had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Perkele sends Veide crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Perkele is motioning to the referee to let Veide up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Veide is rocked!
Veide walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Perkele swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
