Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Thunder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vicky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Vicky will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicky defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thunder.
Vicky feints a counter leg kick.
No luck for Thunder with that takedown attempt.
Thunder shoots for a takedown but Vicky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Thunder. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vicky drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Thunder manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Thunder jumps guard.
Vicky looking to sit in guard and control but Thunder gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thunder throws a big right hand that misses.
Vicky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Thunder trying to control the position from guard on top but Vicky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Thunder passes Vicky's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Thunder slows the pace down in half guard.
Thunder wants to take a breather but Vicky is having none of it.
Vicky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thunder is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nice strikes from Thunder there.
Thunder wants to take a breather but Vicky is having none of it.
Thunder throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Thunder is looking to take a break and control but Vicky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Thunder looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Thunder missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Thunder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vicky keeps working.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thunder wants to pass to mount but Vicky is defending the position.
Thunder throwing shots but Vicky is blocking nicely.
Vicky is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Vicky looking for subs from the bottom but Thunder mounts him!
Vicky looks winded!
Vicky is squirming around, avoiding Thunder's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thunder cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Thunder throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Vicky has his hands clasped together but Thunder breaks the hold and Vicky is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Thunder!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bruno Thunder!
