The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fillmore closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Norris did well to prevent Fillmore getting side control.
Norris wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fillmore wants to take a breather but Norris is having none of it.
Norris is controlling Fillmore's trapped leg to prevent Fillmore from advancing to side control.
Norris is trying to maintain the position but Fillmore is very close to passing his half guard.
Fillmore wants to pass to mount but Norris is defending the position.
Norris is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Fillmore has latched onto it... Big trouble! Fillmore pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Norris is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Fillmore!
