Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rauga Pascal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerry Zero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rauga Pascal!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pascal defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zero.
A slow jab from Pascal misses its intended target.
Zero appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Pascal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zero doesn't seem bothered though.
Pascal tests Zero's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Zero dodges the punch combination from Pascal.
Pascal misses with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zero throws a sloppy head kick
and Zero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pascal was well out of range. Poor timing from Zero.
Pascal throws a big counter head kick but Zero avoids it with no problem.
Pascal throws a right hand that Zero ducks under and follows up with a left that Zero also avoids with ease.

Pascal misses with a hook. Zero ducked under it nicely.
Pascal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zero seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Pascal falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zero counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Zero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Zero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zero looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Pascal is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Zero goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pascal rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Zero's guard! Nice work there by Pascal!

Zero looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pascal looking to pass the guard.

Pascal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pascal has managed to get both his arms back between Zero's legs - danger averted.
Pascal wants to pass the guard but Zero is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zero is breathing heavily.

Pascal trying to control the action but Zero is working from the bottom.
Pascal is pressing down on Zero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zero is holding on for now.
Pascal is trying to control the action in half guard but Zero is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Zero is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pascal pulls his head out easily.
Pascal wants to control but Zero is keeping him busy.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zero looking for a kimura from the bottom but Pascal passes into side control!
Zero tries to buck Pascal off but Pascal is having none of it.

Pascal is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zero knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Zero manages to get back to half guard.
Pascal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zero keeps working.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pascal not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pascal passes to side control.
Zero trying to remain calm as Pascal controls from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rauga Pascal dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Zero is looking to land body kicks.
Pascal throws a looping overhand right but Zero ducks down to avoid it.

Zero throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pascal was covering up waiting for the punch and Zero finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Zero is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pascal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pascal has escaped and now he's on top!

Pascal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zero looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Pascal wants to pass to mount but Zero is defending the position.

Pascal wants to advance to full mount but Zero doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Pascal trying to control the position from guard on top but Zero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pascal passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Pascal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Zero tries to buck Pascal off but Pascal is having none of it.

Pascal can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zero is looking to escape.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zero rolls, trying to escape but Pascal keeps control of the position.

Zero is squirming around, avoiding Pascal's attempts to control the action.

Zero is looking to improve his position but Pascal isn't that keen on the idea.
Pascal can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zero is looking to escape.

Rauga Pascal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pascal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zero.
Zero takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Zero keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pascal.
Pascal defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zero.
Pascal tries to bum rush Zero with a series of wild strikes but Zero uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zero swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Nice defenses there by Zero.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zero throws the kick towards the body but Pascal avoids it.
Pascal misses with an uppercut.
As Pascal looks to move away, Zero throws a big counter combo but Pascal just gets out of the way.

Zero looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pascal!

Pascal sneaks out the side door and pushes Zero away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pascal throws a shot from downtown. Zero moves away and avoids it.
Rauga Pascal seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A telegraphed right hand from Pascal misses the target.
Pascal slaps away a takedown attempt from Zero, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pascal throws an overhand right that lands on Zero's shoulder, as Zero tries to avoid the shot.
Zero fails with the takedown
and Pascal counters with a right hand to the body.

Pascal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pascal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pascal lands a glancing blow to the side of Zero's head.
Zero misses with a takedown
letting Pascal counter with a right hand.
Pascal throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pascal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rauga Pascal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Zero swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Pascal misses with a straight right.
Zero misses with a takedown attempt
and Zero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rauga Pascal is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Pascal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pascal tests Zero's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Zero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

A right-left combo lands from Pascal.
The fighters circling - Pascal throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pascal jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pascal jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zero is looking to counter punch.
Pascal connects with a crisp jab.
Pascal missing with a left hand there. Zero was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pascal throws a body punch but Zero moves out of range.
Zero looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rauga Pascal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pascal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
