Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elof Jurgs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 47 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elof Jurgs!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lucas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jurgs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jurgs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jurgs changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lucas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lucas struggling a bit here.
Jurgs throws an elbow but Lucas slips to the side and avoids it well.
Lucas is trying to control Jurgs's posture but Jurgs avoids it.
Lucas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jurgs on the ground.
Jurgs lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lucas down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lucas looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Lucas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jurgs is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lucas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lucas's back!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lucas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jurgs to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lucas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jurgs's guard.

Jurgs is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Jurgs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jurgs closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lucas did well to prevent Jurgs getting side control.

Lucas has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jurgs is on him like a limpet, forcing Lucas back against the cage.
Lucas lands an elbow inside that Jurgs shrugs off.
Jurgs wants to take the fight to the mat but Lucas manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Jurgs gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Jurgs walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lucas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jurgs now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Jurgs avoids the head kick by Lucas.
And Jurgs responds with a good body kick, but Lucas manages to step out the way in time.

A little feinted left hand from Lucas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Lucas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lucas wants it to stay on the feet.
Travis Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elof Jurgs.
Lucas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jurgs has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lucas.

Lucas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jurgs connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lucas scrambles back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jurgs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lucas sprawls well. Lucas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jurgs gets slowly back to his feet.
Jurgs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lucas avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jurgs chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lucas can pounce on him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Travis Lucas showed his dominance in that final round.
