Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walton Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walton Avila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gunner Houston!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Houston closes the distance and pushes Avila back into the cage.

Houston has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Avila clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
What can Avila do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Houston pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Avila back to the cage. Houston follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Gunner Houston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Houston is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Houston wants to get up but he can't break Avila's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Avila is looking to counter the offense by Houston and move into the clinch.

Gunner Houston is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Houston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
