Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Campion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto Boucher!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campion gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Campion has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boucher after a bit of a struggle.

Campion blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Boucher lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Campion backwards.
Boucher swings wildly with an uppercut but Campion uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boucher throws a punch but it's blocked by Campion.
We've been hearing reports that Campion has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Campion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Campion manages to end up in side control.

Campion is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boucher knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Campion prevents Boucher from escaping the position.

Boucher is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Campion asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Campion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boucher keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Campion tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Campion has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Boucher is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Campion has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Boucher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Campion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Campion wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boucher, who protects the arm well.
Boucher is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Campion thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Campion postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Campion staying calm.
Campion lands a nice forearm strike.
Campion lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Boucher down.

Campion thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Campion stands up.
Boucher has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Campion is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Campion darts in and clinches Boucher up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Campion pushes Boucher back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Boucher misses with a short punch on the inside.
Boucher doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Campion is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boucher gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Campion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boucher lands a left hand.
Campion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boucher pulls his leg out and moves away.

Campion has Boucher up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Campion blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Boucher lands with a right to the head.
Boucher lands a right hand that snaps the head of Campion backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Campion dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Campion is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boucher defends well.

Boucher stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Campion doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Boucher counters with a crisp one two that drops Campion! Boucher thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Campion to his feet! Campion is in big trouble!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campion is holding his hands too far apart here. Boucher throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Campion is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
