Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Winford Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Apache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Winford Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Geronimo Apache!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Apache does no damage.
Apache misses with a few strikes there.
Cameron appears to be looking for a big counter.
Cameron tries to close the distance and clinch up but Apache swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Apache escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Apache fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cameron, pushing him back against the cage.
Apache is looking to break free of the clinch but Cameron has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cameron is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Apache pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Apache goes for a takedown attempt but Cameron pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Apache misses the shot to the body.
Cameron really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Apache keeps control of Cameron as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Cameron is trying to trip Apache. He has hold of a leg but Apache is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cameron persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Apache is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cameron is controlling him.

Cameron loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Cameron tries to free his leg and advance position but Apache is retaining full guard.
Apache trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cameron connects with a nice short shot to Apache's temple.
Cameron thows a huge punch but Apache dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cameron in particular looking to stall.

Cameron tries to stand but can't do so whilst Apache controls his leg.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Apache looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cameron seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Cameron seems to be looking for submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Winford Cameron will probably get the nod.

Apache will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Apache throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

A right-left combo lands from Apache.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Apache tries to land a front kick but Cameron steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Cameron lands a nice leg kick that just misses Apache's sensitive parts.
Apache throws a nice looking combination but Cameron bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Geronimo Apache showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Apache enables Cameron to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Apache manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Oh Cameron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Apache drops Cameron with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cameron! Apache dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
