Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pittsburgh Steelers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell has chosen Sonne - Rammstein as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ross Maxwell acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pittsburgh Steelers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ross Maxwell!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell misses with a head kick.
Maxwell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steelers with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maxwell to score with a decent uppercut.
Maxwell throws a nice looking combination but Steelers bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Maxwell looks to land a right hand but Steelers moved out of range.
Maxwell looks for a takedown but Steelers sprawls well.
Steelers appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Maxwell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steelers.

Maxwell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steelers is trying to defend but Maxwell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Steelers manages to escape and get back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maxwell throws out a loose jab but Steelers uses good head movement to avoid it.

Maxwell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Maxwell throws a right hand that Steelers ducks under and follows up with a left that Steelers also avoids with ease.

Steelers tries to counter with a takedown but Maxwell is quick to defend against it.

Maxwell is looking to chop away at Steelers's legs.

Steelers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maxwell.

Maxwell moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Maxwell throws an overhand right that lands on Steelers's shoulder, as Steelers tries to avoid the shot.

Steelers looks to throw the jab but Maxwell is out of range.

Ross Maxwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steelers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maxwell.

Maxwell might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Maxwell wants to clinch up but Steelers keeps it at a distance.
Steelers leaves Maxwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pittsburgh Steelers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ross Maxwell.

Steelers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Steelers changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Maxwell fails with a takedown attempt.

Maxwell throws the left hand but Steelers avoids the punch easily.
Maxwell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steelers half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Steelers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Maxwell feints a counter leg kick.

It looks like Ross Maxwell has been cut.
Maxwell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steelers checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Some bone on bone action there as Steelers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
An attempted straight right counter from Steelers misses the target.
Maxwell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steelers walks into a stiff left hand from Maxwell.
Maxwell closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Steelers uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maxwell.
Maxwell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Maxwell loads up on a big right hand but Steelers slips the punch.
Steelers checks a leg kick.
A swing and a miss from Maxwell.

Steelers tries to sprawl but Maxwell drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Still in half guard, Maxwell seems content to control.
Steelers is not content to let Maxwell control the position.
Maxwell prevents Steelers from standing back up.
Maxwell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Maxwell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Maxwell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Maxwell is nestled in close to Steelers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Maxwell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steelers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Maxwell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Maxwell is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Steelers reverses the position - he's now on top in Maxwell's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Maxwell is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Maxwell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Maxwell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Maxwell wants to control but Steelers is keeping him busy.
Maxwell is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Steelers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Maxwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steelers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maxwell somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Steelers counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Maxwell has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Steelers. Oh but Maxwell has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Steelers goes limp - he's gone! Maxwell jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ross Maxwell!
After winning the bout, Ross Maxwell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Pittsburgh Steelers had this to say: 'I can not believe he beat me. Fuck!'.
