The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook shoots for a takedown but Wayne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cook fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wayne drives through and clinches with Cook against the cage.
Wayne lands a good knee to the midsection. Cook won't want to take too many of those.
Wayne tries to pull guard but Cook forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wayne breaks the clinch.
Cook keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wayne fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cook tries to roll over but Wayne keeps him under control.
Wayne is looking to take a break and control but Cook is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wayne is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Cook tries to kick Wayne off but Wayne keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cook is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wayne pulls his head out easily.
Cook wants to control but Wayne is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wayne is trying to control the action in half guard but Cook is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Abram Cook will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Wayne content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Wayne wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cook has him pressed against the cage.
Wayne tries to break the clinch but Cook is controlling the position.
Wayne tries to score a body lock takedown but Cook shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wayne jumps guard but Cook stands there with Wayne around his waist. Wayne gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cook is pressed up against the cage. Wayne has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cook down to the mat. Cook avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wayne stops Cook from standing up.
Wayne postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Cook has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wayne doesn't defend quickly enough and Cook has managed to lock this one up! Can Wayne escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cook on a fantastic submission victory.
