Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bernie Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Zurdur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bernie Delgado has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bernie Delgado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Zurdur!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zurdur gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Delgado is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zurdur pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Zurdur has picked Delgado up - he's going for a ride! Zurdur dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Zurdur is looking for a kimura but Delgado is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zurdur to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zurdur is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Delgado bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zurdur's guard.

Delgado's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Zurdur trying to keep a closed guard but Delgado is proving a slippery customer.
Delgado is looking to work some ground and pound but Zurdur has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Zurdur throws the left hand but Delgado avoids the punch easily.
Nice defenses there by Delgado.
Zurdur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zurdur takes a swing at Delgado's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Delgado has a takedown stuffed.
Zurdur lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Delgado circles away quickly and effectively.
Delgado wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Zurdur closes the distance and clinches.
Zurdur tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Delgado smiles and moves away.

and Delgado counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Zurdur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delgado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zurdur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Delgado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Delgado not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Delgado working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Zurdur's head.

Delgado is working Zurdur over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Delgado thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Zurdur fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Delgado manages to avoid it.
Delgado tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Zurdur manages to circle out of the way.
Delgado dives in and grabs Zurdur's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zurdur pushes down on Delgado's head and hops out.
Delgado takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A jab from Zurdur finds it's way through Delgado's defenses.

Zurdur feints with a jab and clips Delgado right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Delgado is sent crashing into the canvas and Zurdur leaps in for the kill! Delgado tries to get to his feet but Zurdur is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Delgado is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Zurdur!
